Scorching tones and a full 5-octave stretch (and then some) await you in the Caparison Orbit FX. From stem to stern, this aggressive 6-string is built for balance, speed, and precision. The timeless neck-through design sees a major upgrade in the form of Caparison’s 5-piece maple and walnut neck, whose seamless transition from headstock to body, along with a great-playing compound-radius ebony fingerboard, offers unbridled sustain and unbelievable fret-hand comfort. The Orbit FX’s premium string-through mahogany body loaded with tonally distinct Caparison humbuckers (PH-R bridge, offset SH-27F neck) equip this axe for classic rock to modern progressive metal. Together, a black TUSQ nut and Gotoh fixed bridge deliver unflappable tuning precision. Signature clock fingerboard inlays and devil’s-tail headstock add an extra dose of those coveted Caparison visuals.

Caparison contemporizes the iconic asymmetrical offset “V” in their Orbit FX electric guitar. Modern-day features include a 27-fret, compound-radius ebony fingerboard, a rock-solid 5-piece hardwood neck with a fast oil finish, and an extremely balanced body design. Take it from guitarists at Sweetwater: If you’re a fan of this classic design, you’re definitely going to want to get your hands on the Orbit FX.

Playing the Orbit FX, your hands won’t know where the neck ends and the body begins. This is thanks to a seamless neck-through design and graduated oil and gloss finishes which converge somewhere around the 15th fret. The result is an unbelievable playing experience all the way up to the 27th fret and a cosmetic treat every time you pick up the guitar.

Players who want the bare minimum standing in the way of great tone will delight in the Orbit FX’s streamlined tonal armament. The lightning-fast Switchcraft 3-way toggle unlocks hard-edged classic crunchy rhythms to laser-focused leads at a moment’s notice. Pickups are wired in parallel at position 2 for maximum output to drive your amp input.

Caparison Dellinger HGS Midnight Blue Gold Hardware 2004 (Video Demo)

0 out of 5 based on 0 customer rating(s)
$ 1,449.99

Caparison Dellinger HGS in Midnight Blue finish made in 2004. This guitar features a mahogany body with a bolt-on maple neck, and ebony fretboard. The flat black headstock, midnight blue/ matte finish and ebony fretboard with no inlays gives this guitar a very bare-bones look and feel. The guitar has what I believe to be aftermarket gold hardware, unless its a limited edition or model I was unable to find the same guitar with stock gold hardware anywhere online. The guitar has an after market Bare Knuckle Nailbomb humbucker in the bridge with Caparison single coils in the middle and neck positions and aftermarket black pickup covers that match the rest of the guitar. The Schaller Tremolo has a Floyd Rose bar with it which does not tighten the full length of the Schaller tremolo thread but still works perfectly fine.

The guitar is in excellent condition, but does have the modifications listed above. The guitar has been freshly re-strung, setup with .10-.52 gauge strings, fretboard and frets cleaned, and plays amazing with low action and no fret buzz. Comes with Caparison Gig-bag. Check out the video demo!

Caparison Orbit PRO 2008 White Progressive

0 out of 5 based on 0 customer rating(s)
SOLD

The Caparison Orbit PRO is a shred machine and plays effortlessly. It’s thin profile, smooth ebony fretboard, jumbo frets, compound radius neck, and 27 fret reach makes this the samurai sword of guitars. It also has a very distinct cool look that sets it apart from other V shaped guitars. It has a very well balanced feel to it, and it is very comfortable playing standing up.

The main difference between this now discontinued Orbit PRO and the standard Orbit FX is that the pro features a floyd rose tremolo system, a matte finish, and paint on the entire neck. This guitar features a Floyd Rose which also means a locking nut, it is currently setup with low action in A 440 tuning with .10-.52 gauge strings. This guitar also has an upgraded Tone Zone Dimarzio bridge pickup which has a bit more output than the stock Caparison pickups. The Orbit Pro features a matte white finish which is nice for not showing finger prints and blemishes as well as paint on the entire neck apposed to the modern Orbit FX which paint tappers off on the back of the neck. Guitar comes with original hardshell case which is in perfect working condition however has stencils, and tape on the outside. The guitar is in very good condition however it has some heavy belt buckle rash on the back (see photos). The frets from 12-27 have also been finely sanded down to play smoother (see photos).

This Caparison Orbit PRO is almost identical to the guitar that I play on stage with Queensryche only with a few slight modifications/upgrades. The Caparison Orbit has been my #1 live guitar for the past 4 years which started while touring opening up for “The Scorpions” and can be heard on our last full length album “Condition Human”. I have included a youtube video of a song that I wrote and recorded using a Caparison Orbit.
