The timeless neck-through design sees a major upgrade in the form of Caparison’s 5-piece maple and walnut neck, whose seamless transition from headstock to body, along with a great-playing compound-radius ebony fingerboard, offers unbridled sustain and unbelievable fret-hand comfort. The Orbit FX’s premium string-through mahogany body loaded with tonally distinct Caparison humbuckers (PH-R bridge, offset SH-27F neck) equip this axe for classic rock to modern progressive metal. Together, a black TUSQ nut and Gotoh fixed bridge deliver unflappable tuning precision. Signature clock fingerboard inlays and devil’s-tail headstock add an extra dose of those coveted Caparison visuals.
Playing the Orbit FX, your hands won’t know where the neck ends and the body begins. This is thanks to a seamless neck-through design and graduated oil and gloss finishes which converge somewhere around the 15th fret. The result is an unbelievable playing experience all the way up to the 27th fret and a cosmetic treat every time you pick up the guitar.
Players who want the bare minimum standing in the way of great tone will delight in the Orbit FX’s streamlined tonal armament. The lightning-fast Switchcraft 3-way toggle unlocks hard-edged classic crunchy rhythms to laser-focused leads at a moment’s notice. Pickups are wired in parallel at position 2 for maximum output to drive your amp input.
ESP Custom Shop EX Sharks Graphic NAMM 2009. This guitar model was originally made as a one-off for NAMM in 2008 but had such a great response that they re-made it again for NAMM in 2009 and here it is! This guitar is a based off of the ESP EX model but has all of the best craftsmanship, woods and visual artistry that the ESP Custom Shop has to offer and is very well known for. The guitar body and neck are made from a very high-quality light-weight mahogany weighing in at a well balanced 7lbs 3.8oz. The guitar has a custom paint job that covers the entire top of the guitar body, pickups, pickup rings, fretboard and headstock. The back of the guitar is a dark blue similar to the darker half of the guitar headstock. The guitar fretboard has inlays of shark fins not to be confused with Jackson’s “Shark Fin” inlays. The background color of the custom finish is a blue burst that gradually goes from a dark deep Ocean blue to a light sky blue and seamlessly transitions in color on the body, neck and even headstock. The quality and detail of the shark graphics on the guitar are incredible and you can see how this guitar was built specifically as a museum piece for NAMM.

Masao Orihalcon’s exceptional craftsmanship using the finest quality of premium woods and components brings to life some of the most unique, interesting and elaborate ideas that have ever been imagined to fabricate a guitar into.
Not only are Masao Orihalcon’s creations aesthetically stunning works of guitar art, but they are foremost fully functioning handmade superior quality instruments that play, sound and feel leaps and bounds better than any standard production guitars on the market. Each one of these guitars are unique in their own right and have one of a kind features that you will not find on any other guitar in the world.
From ESP JAPAN : “This guitar is an image of “Shinigami” (God of Death) slashing a Scythe direct into the body. This The god of Death shows his face through the cyclone that has formed a crack spread throughout the body, and he seems ready to cut someone’s neck at any moment. The Scythe is angled to penetrate diagonally through the body.”
This guitar’s body shape can be seen as based out of a King V shape with a broken point or can be seen as an elongated Rhoads shape with a broken tip either way it starts off with a cool V shape. The body is elaborately hand carved to resemble the look of burnt wood with the “God of Death” face breaking through the center. The charcoal colored paint on the body and headstock help contribute to the burnt wood theme. On top of the body or rather through the body is a hand carved scythe that pierces through the V shape and the blade rests between the points of the V. The amount of detail in the wood work is phenomenal.
The guitar has a single Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge position controlled by a master volume control, a Floyd Rose tremolo system with locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines. The neck is a standard 24.75” scale length with a medium C neck profile, and a 12” fingerboard radius on a dark black ebony fretboard with 22 frets.
