This is a a beautiful and amazing collectors piece! Gibson Custom Shop BB King Lucille 2003 in Mint condition. Along with the guitar comes an autographed pickguard signed by BB King with a certificate of authenticity from Gibson. Also included in this listing is an autographed lithograph of BB King. These 3 pieces displayed together are a breathtaking work of art.
Here is a bit of the history and story of the particular guitar. It originally came from a former Gibson Nashville employee who purchased the guitar specifically to get signed by BB King. The guitar was brand new at the time and has been case kept or in a display case ever since. This guitar was bought with the intention of being signed and held onto so the guitar has not been played. The original strings are still on the guitar and the pickguard was removed and replaced upon signing. The signed pickguard and COA from Gibson come in a framed display case. The lithograph was made by Music City Merchandise in 2009 in Nashville and is #712 out of 1,000. It was signed in 2011 and also comes in a display frame.
Along with the guitar, lithograph and pickguard is a letter directly from the previous owner and how he came to own the guitar as well as his ticket stub from the show he got the lithograph signed. There is a folder attached to the back of the lithograph frame that holds the ticket and letter. The letter is photographed closely so you can read his story as well as the ticket stub.
Although this guitar is well kept, unplayed and everything has been done to preserve its condition, there are a couple of minor flaws Gibson made while making the instrument that have become visible with its aging. The neck joint has a slight finish crack where the neck meets the body, and perhaps I am being too harsh on Gibson but the binding is not perfect in some spots when you look closely. (See photos).
This guitar display would look amazing at any concert hall, man cave, casino, blues club, bar or restaurant! Don’t miss out this will not last long!
This is an electric guitar signed by Paul McCartney authenticated by “World Wide Autographs Inc.” on November 28th 2005, guitar comes with COA
ESP Custom Shop SAKOKU “Dankon” R.S. Bullets museum piece made for the NAMM convention in 2010. This guitar was built by ESP Japan’s Custom Shop master luthier Masao Orihalcon whom has built some of ESP’s most iconic Custom Shop one of a kind guitars over the years that are true masterpieces. Masao Orihalcon’s exceptional craftsmanship using the finest quality of premium woods and components brings to life some of the most unique, interesting and elaborate ideas that have ever been imagined to fabricate a guitar into.
Not only are Masao Orihalcon’s creations aesthetically stunning works of guitar art, but they are foremost fully functioning handmade superior quality instruments that play, sound and feel leaps and bounds better than any standard production guitars on the market. Each one of these guitars are unique in their own right and have one of a kind features that you will not find on any other guitar in the world.
From ESP JAPAN : “Sakoku features a bullet hole in the guitar body in 3 dimensions. This custom guitar was named “Dankon” (Bullet Mark in English). The original image came from the Japanese Edo era, the Shogunate, the “national seclusion”(SAKOKU in Japanese), and Admiral Perry’s visit to Japan to open up the seclusion. The original name of this guitar was SAKOKU.”
This guitar has an ESP star shape made form a chambered alder body with a bolt-on maple neck and an ebony fretboard. The guitar most notably has realistic 3 dimensional routes to resemble gun shot wounds to the body and neck of the guitar. There are 5 gun shots total which are located at the upper headstock, the center if the body, and one at each of the 3 points of the guitars body. This is one of the most badass guitar concepts in existence and it is done extremely well! Aside from the cool aesthetics of the gun shot wounds, the holes combined with the chambered body make for a very light weight, well balanced and comfortable guitar weighing in at only 6lbs 5.3oz. The see through rusted metal ESP logo on the upper horn in-between two of the gun shot wounds reveals a rustic cage-like body chamber. The guitar body is bound in a studded sewn-on looking rustic design that meets in the center of the body and has realistic holes revealed in the midst of each shot gun blast which shows the level of artistry and detail the builder is known for.
The guitar neck is a standard 24.75” scale length with medium C neck profile, and a 12” fingerboard radius on a solid dark black ebony fretboard with no inlays.
