Fender Hardtail Stratocaster in Olympic White finish made in 1974. This guitar has a very cool “heavy relic” look from being burned in a fire that may or may not have been done intentionally or by accident. Although the guitar looks rugged it is structurely still fully intact, 100% original and fully functional. The guitar features a very light weight alder body and a maple neck which dates to 1974 with a bolt-on 3-bolt construction . Equipped with the original Fender grey bottom single-coil pickups dating to 1974 with the very sought after staggered pole-pieces complete with the original pots that date to the 10th week of 1973. The 25.5″ scale length neck dates to 1974 and has a medium C shape neck profile. The original “F” Style tuning machines and original 6-saddle Fender bridge are in fantastic condition and keep excellent tuning stability. The original 3-ply white pick-guard shows no signs of shrinking and has no cracks or splitting at the screw holes and is complete along with the matching white original Fender knobs, switch tip and pickups covers.

This guitar is in good condition despite the burnt look which has actually turned this guitar into a shop favorite and is a consistent point of conversation from all who visit us. Aside from the burned area there is evidence of stickers that may have been on the back of the guitar at some point in its lifetime, and regular signs of play-wear throughout the body an neck (see photos). Freshly re-strung with 9-42 gauge strings and setup in standard tuning this guitar is in my opinion the coolest looking Strat out there, it sounds amazing with the original staggered pole-piece pickups, and is very light weight! Comes with Fender late 60’s/early 70’s hardshell case with orange interior.
