Description
Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop ’59 Michael Bloomfield Signature model Tom Murphy Aged “Bloomfield Burst” finish made in 2009 with original hard shell case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body with a flamed maple top, one-piece mahogany neck w/long neck tenon and bound rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with a Gibson Burstbucker 1 in the neck position and a Gibson Burstbucker 2 in the bridge position. Controlled by 2-volume, 2-tone knobs and a 3-way toggle switch. The 24.75″ scale length neck has acrylic trapezoid inlays and 22 narrow tall frets with a ’59 neck neck profile. The aged nickel hardware is comprised of Grover tuning machines, a bone nut, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a mixture of knobs which are two amber bell knobs, one gold top hat reflector, one gold speed knob knobs with a single-ply cream pick-guard.
This guitar is #13 out of 100 made and was aged by Tom Murphy who did a spectacular job in recreating this iconic “Burst”. Previously owned by a collector who purchased new and stored until now the guitar is still in mint condition (aside from the intentional aging). Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings and includes original hard shell case, COA signed by Allen Bloomfield, and case candy.
