Description
Vintage Gibson Flying V in Alpine White finish made in 1982 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard. Equipped with a set of original Gibson Patent Stamp Tim Shaw humbuckers in the neck and bridge position. Controlled by 2-volume, 1-tone knob in the preferred triangle layout and a 3-way toggle switch, comprised of the original pots dating to 1981. The 24.75″ scale length neck has mother of pearl dot inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12” radius with a medium C neck profile. The hardware is comprised of Gibson vintage deluxe tuning machines, a corian nut, a ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and witch hat knobs with a 4-ply white/black pickguard.
This vintage guitar is in overall very good condition. it has some light finish checking, light binding shrinkage marks, light marks, some light scuffs/ surface scratches and a few dings/ light dents. There is some finish chipping around the strap buttons (see pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings and includes original hard shell case.
