Description
Vintage Gibson Les Paul Custom in Tobacco Sunburst finish made in 1978 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a double bound solid mahogany body with a 3-piece maple, 3-piece maple neck and bound ebony fingerboard. Equipped with a set of Gibson Patent Stamp in the neck position and bridge position, ink stamps intact dating to 1978. Controlled by 2-volume, 2-tone knobs and a 3-way toggle switch with original pots dating to 1978. The 24.75″ scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12” radius with a slim taper neck profile. The hardware is comprised of original matching gold Gibson branded schaller tuning machines, a bone nut, a Tune-O-Matic bridge and gold speed knobs with a 1-ply cream pickguard.
This vintage guitar is in overall very good condition. it’s back has some belt rash and light dings. Its top has light surface marks and few light dimples/ light dings/indents. The bottom side of neck has some finish wear from play. The gold covers of the pickups /hardware has finish wear and faded. (see pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings and includes original hard shell case.
