Description
Vintage Gibson Melody Maker D in Sunburst finish made in 1963 with original Chipboard Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with a single original Gibson Melody Maker Single Coil pickup in the bridge position. Controlled by 1-volume, 1-tone knob and a 3-way toggle switch comprised of its original pots dating to the 20th week of 1963. The 24.75″ scale length neck has pearloid dot inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12” radius with a 50’s medium rounded neck profile. The hardware is comprised of Kluson open gear strip tuning machines, a bone nut, a compensated wraparound bridge and gold bell reflector knobs with a single-ply black pickguard.
This vintage guitar is in overall excellent condition for its age, it has finish check throughout the body, minimal light dings, light dents, minimal scratches and wear. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings and includes original chipboard case. For obvious reasons we will ship this in A Gator Hardshell Case and the Chipboard Separate.
