Description
Vintage Gibson SG Standard with Maestro Vibrola in Cherry finish made in 1970 with Original Hard Shell Marigold Interior Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, 3-piece mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with a set of original Gibson Patent Sticker humbuckers in the neck position and bridge position. Controlled by 2-volume, 2-tone knobs and a 3-way toggle switch, comprised of its original pots sating to 1970. The 24.75″ scale length neck has pearloid trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets with an early 70s narrow nut, slim taper neck profile. The hardware is comprised of Gibson vintage deluxe double row double line tuning machines, a bone nut, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with nylon saddles, Maestro vibrola tailpiece and original witch hat knobs with a 3-ply black/white pickguard.
This vintage guitar is in overall excellent condition for it’s age. It has Light checking throughout the body and some light marks, light scuffs and a few light surface scratches (see pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes original hard shell marigold interior case.
