Description
Vintage Gibson SG Standard with Vibrola in Walnut finish made in 1970 with Original Hard Shell Purple Interior Case (Refret). This guitar features a solid mahogany body, 3-piece mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with a set of original Gibson Patent Sticker humbuckers in the neck position and bridge position. Controlled by 2-volume, 2-tone knobs comprised of its original pots sating to 1970 and a 3-way toggle switch. The 24.75″ scale length neck has pearloid trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets with an early 70s narrow nut, slim taper neck profile. The hardware is comprised of Kluson deluxe reissue tuning machines, a upgraded bone nut, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with nylon saddles, Maestro vibrola tail piece and original witch hat knobs with a 3-ply black/white pickguard.
This vintage guitar is in overall very good condition for it’s age, The Tuners and nut have been replaced along with a refret with jumbos so it’s ready to play! It has finish check throughout the entire instrument, some dings, dents, scratches, a couple finish chips and wear. Missing one side dot marker at 12th fret. (see pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes original hard shell purple interior case, original nut and original tuning machines.
