Gretsch G6122-1962 “Country Classic” Chet Atkins Country Gentleman in walnut finish made in Japan in 2005. This guitar features a fully hollow 17” maple body with a three-piece maple neck, and bound ebony fingerboard. Equipped with dual High Sensitive Filter’Tron pickups which have a large variety of tone controls & options. The control layout consists of individual pickup and tone toggles, a Master Volume control and individual Volumes for each pickup, with a kill switch three-way toggle (on/off/on). The 24.6” scale length neck has a slim “C” neck profile with Neo Classic “Thumbnail” inlays and 22 frets. The gold hardware features Grover Imperial tuning machines, and a Bigsby B6 vibrato paired with a roller bridge on an ebony base plate to assure accurate tuning with smooth vibrato use.
This guitar is in very good condition overall however there is a haziness over the majority of the walnut finish as well as light surface scratches. Freshly re-strung with 10-46 gauge strings and setup in standard tuning, this guitar plays like a champ and is ready to rock! Comes with the original Gretsch hardshell case, COA, hang tags and case candy.
