Martin 0-15 Natural Mahogany 1951 with Gator Hard Case

Martin 0-15 Mahogany built in 1951. This guitar has a story to tell and has survived the test of time. Although the guitar has some battle scars it has been professionally and properly maintained to play phenomenally well and sounds incredible! This guitar features an all mahogany body, mahogany neck and a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard with matching Brazilian Rosewood bridge & headstock face-plate. The original tuning machines are in great shape for their age, function as they should and have excellent tuning stability. The nut has been upgraded with a water buffalo horn nut, and the saddle has been replaced with a compensated bone saddle. The replaced nut and saddle combined with a pro re-fret have kept this guitar in excellent playing condition and it is one of the best playing and sounding vintage acoustic guitars that we have ever seen. The 24.9″ scale length neck has a soft “V” shape neck profile, a 1 11/16″ nut width and a 16″ fingerboard radius. The neck is very comfortable and well worn in with a great feeling re-fret that makes this guitar a fantastic player.

This guitar is in good condition considering it’s age but it does have it’s fair share of wear and tear. There are scratches on the side of the headstock likely from a string-winder pressed to firmly against headstock when re-stringing. There is a patched area on the bass side of the body that has been professionally repaired, some stress cracks on the top and back of the guitar that have been professionally glued as well as cleated on the bass side to prevent future cracking. Aside from that there are obvious dings, dents, scratches and expected amounts of play-wear. Despite the guitars cosmetic flaws, it is still the best playing vintage acoustic guitar we have ever seen and has an amazingly warm vintage tone. This is a guitar that will most likely sell to someone who plays it in store and falls in love with it, but we are still offering it up for sale on our online platforms. Freshly re-strung and setup in standard tuning and comes with a Gator hardshell case.
