B.C Rich Bich USA Metallic Purple Sunburst made in 1985. This guitar features a mahogany neck-through design body with quilted maple wings, a rosewood fingerboard and rosewood headstock overlay. Equipped with the original Dimarzio double-cream Humbucker pickups which are a super distortion in the bridge and PAF in the neck. The factory control layout includes a 3-way pickup selector switch, 6-position Variatone, 5 mini-switches that function as on/off & series/parallel for the pickups and 2 pre-amps as well as a master volume & master tone knobs, neck pickup volume knob, and 2 pre-amp volume knobs. At least one of the pre-amps has been upgraded/modified with what I can only describe as; turning a clean signal into an extremely high-gain signal or turning a crunch/dirty signal into a boost with more distortion and gain than you will likely ever need. Thankfully the guitar is wired with so much versatility that these options can easily be turned on/off with the flip of a switch. This is, needless to say, one of the most versatile guitars that we have ever seen and it gives you a tremendous array of tonal options.

The 24.75” scale length neck has beautiful mother of pearl cloud inlays on the rosewood fingerboard with a Rico “R” inlay on the headstock veneer, 24 jumbo frets and a fast slim “D” shape neck profile with low action. The hardware is comprised of gold Grover Imperial stair-step tuning machines with a gold Les Quan Badass bridge for excellent tuning stability and style. The knobs consist of 1 chicken-head rotary knob and 5 indicator knobs that all appear to be original. The very cool and unique factory finish is metallic sunburst with metallic purple undertones that come though around the edges of the quilted maple wings as well as the back of the neck into the back of the headstock.

This guitar is in excellent condition for it’s age with only minor dings and dents, some heavy belt buckle rash but nothing that goes all the way through the finish, and some wear on those hard to keep clean body corners. Freshly re-strung and setup in standard tuning with very low action. Comes with what we believe to be the original hardshell case.
